VOLUNTEERS OF THE MONTH

NAPO-CT Chapter, Inc., Volunteer of the Month - March 2008

Ginger Smyle

We proudly announces that the volunteer for the month of March is awarded to Ginger Smyle.  Ginger has always been an enthusiastic supporter of our chapter and its members.  Ginger has most recently been the database coordinator for the membership committee to focusing on membership renewals.  She has also been a buddy for our guests and new member at the chapter meetings.

NAPO-CT President JoAnne Grabinski stated, “Ginger indeed does bring a smile to the faces of our chapter members.  I appreciate all that she does to make chapter meetings welcoming to new and prospective members”.  NAPO-CT Vice President Susan Lovallo adds, “Ginger volunteer efforts, while not big in stature, are critical to the membership process.  Ginger is a great example that even volunteering for one task benefits the chapter as a whole.”

Ginger is owner of gbs Organizing, in Mystic has been member of NAPO-CT for 3 years.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire membership of NAPO-CT, we present the Volunteer of the Month award to Ginger Smyle.

 

NAPO-CT Chapter, Inc., Volunteer of the Month - February 2008

Cara Brook

We proudly announces that the volunteer for the month of February is awarded to Cara Brook.  Cara, a self-declared choc-a-holic brings a solid financial background, wonderful sense of humor and chocolate to board meetings.  She has helped the board understand the nuances of numbers and states, “finance is fun!”  Cara has been a GO Month speaker and worked on the 5th Anniversary Celebration.

NAPO-CT President JoAnne Grabinski stated, “Cara, is pronounced, Care-ah, because she cares.  And she does, passionately, about NAPO-CT.  She is not shy about voicing an opinion and strongly supports chapter activities.”  NAPO-CT Vice President Susan Lovallo wholeheartedly agrees, “Cara has been an active volunteer in this chapter from the very beginning.  She has demonstrated that you can be successful and also give your time.  And we are grateful for all that she has done for NAPO-CT“.

Cara is owner of Strategize.Organize.Simplify. LLC, in Stamford has been member of NAPO-CT for four years and currently serves as chapter Treasurer.

NAPO-CT Chapter, Inc., Volunteer of the Month - November

Paula Hart

We proudly announces that the volunteer for the month of November is awarded to Paula Hart.  Paula, while relatively new to our chapter she wasted no time to volunteer as our librarian.  She has taken on the tremendous task of reorganizing our ever growing and extensive library.  She always has a wonderful smile and kinds words for our members.

NAPO-CT President JoAnne Grabinski stated, “Paula delights in assisting our members in selecting just the right book, cd or video.  At every meeting Paula helps our members increase their knowledge of organizing as a way to promote our mission, and in her own way ensures each members’ success.”  NAPO-CT Secretary Andrea Deinstadt concurred, “As we all can imagine reorganizing the library a daunting task in which Paula has embraced with innovative ideas, enthusiasm and aplomb.

Paula is owner of Hart Organizing, in Hamden has been member of NAPO-CT for less than 1 year and currently serves as the chapter’s Librarian.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire membership of NAPO-CT, we present the Volunteer of the Month award to Paula Hart.

 

NAPO-CT Chapter, Inc., Volunteer of the Month - October

Carolee Cannata

We proudly announce that the volunteer for the month of October is awarded to Carolee Cannata.  Carolee has initially stepped up as acting Membership Director and has since taken on the responsibility of Renewing Memberships.  Carolee has wholeheartedly worked with others in membership to make sure our membership duties are being fulfilled.  Carolee’s quite demeanor and sunny smile have made it a pleasure to work with.

NAPO-CT President JoAnne Grabinski stated, “Carolee is a wonderful asset to our chapter.  We greatly appreciate the time she volunteers to make this a more efficient organization.”  Says Susan Lovallo, NAPO-CT Vice President and who oversees Membership, “Carolee has assisted the chapter during a critical time and has evoked a spirit of teamwork to ensure a smooth, seamless membership process.”

Carolee is owner of The Organizer of Ivoryton, CT and has been member of NAPO-CT for x years.

NAPO-CT Chapter, Inc., Volunteer of the Month - September

Linda Pulford

We proudly announce the volunteer for the month of September award to Linda Pulford.  Linda has jumped right in from the moment she became a NAPO-CT member by working on Go Month 2007.  Linda has planned a field trip to the Container Store, established a wonderful relationship with Ikea and has Go Month 2008 well underway.  Additionally, she oversees the social events and prepares the press releases for our chapter meetings.  And it’s only been four months!  She understands the value of volunteering and sees all these occasions as a way to promote our mission, vision and especially our tagline, “Our goal is your success.”

Linda is owner of Farmington Valley Organizing, in Barkhamsted and has been member of NAPO-CT for 1 year and currently serves as the Director of Marketing.

NAPO-CT President JoAnne Grabinski stated, “Linda is has put great effort in planning events and programs that benefit our membership.  She is committed to providing opportunities where NAPO-CT members can develop professionally and make our name known in the state.”

NAPO-CT Chapter, Inc., Volunteer of the Month - August

Deanne Capotosto

We are delighted to announce Deanne Capotosto as our Volunteer of the Month.  Dee, as she is known to us, has accepted the challenge to organize our annual summer luncheon.  With her drill sergeant-like tenacity this event will be organized down to the tee, with a few surprises for all those who attend.  Additionally, Dee took on the tremendous task of organizing our first ‘Get Organized Expo’ perhaps not realizing that even organizing a bunch of professional organizers can be a daunting task.  She started her volunteer efforts when she first joined the chapter by organizing our Library and hasn’t stopped since.

Deanne is owner of D customized organizing of Clinton, CT and has been member of NAPO-CT for 3 years.

NAPO-CT President JoAnne Grabinski stated “We are grateful for all Dee has done for our chapter over the years.  Her ‘can do’ attitude, positive outlook and enthusiasm have helped our chapter immensely.  Dee realizes the value of volunteering and the benefits of giving of her time.  And for that we are truly grateful for Dee.”
